0Zone - End Of Days

Candlelight Illusions - Dreaming The End (Music Legacy Edition)

Candlelight Illusions was a great death metal band from Greece.They released a demo song the "Dreaming The End" in 1998 and in 1999 released a 4 song demo which includes this song and had the same name.Also they record a song the "Abadonment" for Metal Invader magazine's compilation "Warzone XIX".Their demo are extremely rare and i search this many years.Thanks God i find it before few days and now i shared with all of you!In this Music Legacy's release includes the 4 track demo , the track from compilation , these tracks is the whole known tracks from the band and the original cassete covers!The demo tape transfered from my personal copy and the compilation's track from other uploader who i want thank him.Check also the band Acid Plane  who play Kostas Attaras the guitarist of Candlelight Illusions. If someone knows more infos about this excellent band , please send me an email.I hope to enjoy as i did!

Renaissance wind from Italy (a great interview of Midnight band)

Many band have inspired from Ritchie Blackmore and his  bands Deep Purple , Rainbow , Blackmore's Night.Is one of the greatest guitarist and for me the greatest.The most inspired bands prefer the rock side of Blackmore , but exist some bands where prefer the renaissance side of him.The Midnight from Italy is one of the best  renaissance bands who inspired from Blackmore's Night.They released a great album the "Midnight" in 2013(very soon i post a review of this) and they have done many lives  and continue to give us their magic of their music.For more infos about them check here and here. Enjoy a great interview from Federico Vannucchi the band's guitarist , multi talented musician and great person!

M.L. Tell us a short bios of the Midnight.

F.V. Midnight were formed in 2003, inspired by the magical sound of Blackmore's Night. "Minstrels" thus, offering melodies inspired by celtic, medieval and renaissance sweet ballads but also lively rhythms drawn from popular culture and folk music. All made more attractive from setting and costumes inspired by fantasy. The show intends to make reliving, through musical notes, scenery and costumes, the charm and enchantment of the "fantasy literature" a kind of narration between epic and fantastic, magical and mysterious, where narrated events are set in a time and a world imaginary in the "middle land" the linking ring between a permanent medieval, an improbable future and an alternative universe populated by magical creatures.

M.L. Tell us about the band's name.Is inspired from Blackmore's Night which is your influence? 

F.V.  First of all, the band’s name was born from our acoustic performance at midnight our. The name is also a “tribute” to the great album “Fires At Midnight” (by Blackmore’s Night) of course. But the choice to be called "Midnight" is not accidental: "midnight" is a metaphor not only of a past time, but also a "mysterious elsewhere" the magic hour of the night for excellence, where fairies and elves dance in the woods, the wizards prepare their spells and the witches gather under a large walnut tree.

M.L. You  play renaissance music , a great and difficult kind of music. Why choose this kind?

F.V.  We chose to play this kind of music because we love the sounds of a distant time.

M.L. You have already released an album the "The Midnight" . Tell us some words about this release.

F.V. Well, we can sum up our last album in this way! Twelve tracks, twelve stories: from the Scottisch pirates to William Shakespeare and from nordic legends to pagan rites or from Queen Elizabeth I° to the bards of old taverns.

 M.L. Have you written any new songs for a future release?

F.V. This is really a magical period for our band, because we are planning the release of a new album with much new material and probably we will enter in a recording studio between October and December 2015, just at the end of our Italian tour.

M.L. Plans for tours and lives?

F.V. We have already a good “live” response in Italy and saw the popularity of our performance in Germany and Holland , we are planning international gigs for 2015.

M.L. You are from Italy , a great country with big history.Also has big history in many kinds of music rock,metal,disco etc and now in renaissance.Tell us your opinion about the music scene of your country?New and old bands which you like?

F.V. Italy is a nation rich in culture and full of timeless stories and legends, from which we draw very much inspiration. In Italy there were many great bands of the past but no one has ever proposed our musical style. It was a bit gamble to bring our special “fantasy” sound in our land. Fortunately, the public has responded positively. Italian artists from wich we are mostly inspired goes from Branduardi to Ensembles Micrologus for example, but also foreign artists inspire us just like Loreena Mc Kennitt, Amazing Blondel, Owain Phyfe or The Geyers and obviously the Blackmore’s Night.
